Permaculture

Definition

Permaculture is a planning system for creating sustainable living spaces for everyone. No matter whether human, animal or plant. Everything happens for the highest good of all. The name itself not only stands for  “Permanent Agriculture” but also “Permanent Culture” because cultures cannot survive for long without a sustainable agricultural base and ethics of land use. Permaculture is concerned with the relationships between plants, animals, people, buildings and utilities (water, energy, connections) and the landscape in which we intervene.

In the picture above you can see our yaks in summer where they have enough natural food.

In the picture on the right you can see in the video how our dear Zackelschaft and the yaks are fed salads and pumpkin in late autumn. They love this food and we get it from a friendly farm that grows organic vegetables and donates its excess product that we humans don't want to have to us so that the vegetables don't end up in the trash.

In the picture below we see the yaks with their pond that they use to cool off in the summer. At the same time, it is a habitat for many other animals such as frogs, newts and many insects.
